Slack on a Mobile Device
Caregivers can use this guide to setup Slack on a mobile device. In order to protect PH TECH data, installation and setup of the Google Device Policy app (MDM) is required.
Install the Google Device Policy App
Note: If you already have the Gmail, Google Calendar or Google Drive app installed and have logged in using your phtech.com account, you can skip this section.
From the app store on your mobile device, download and install the "Google Device Policy" app.
Open the app and add your PH TECH account:
Enter your phtech.com email address
Enter your PH TECH password
Install profile when prompted.Â
Follow the steps to allow the profile to be installed. On an iPhone you will be prompted to navigate to the "Settings" app, select the "Profile Downloaded" option and Install.
Login to Slack
Open the Slack app on your mobile device and select "Get Started"
Select "Continue with Google" as the login option.
Select your phtech.com Google account. If prompted, enter your PH TECH account credentials:
Enter your phtech.com email address
Enter your PH TECH password
If you receive an "Access blocked: Authorization Error", this means that you don't have the PH TECH Google mobile device management profile fully setup and installed. Return to the previous section and verify steup is complete.
