Rise Login Process for Contractors

This guide will walk contracted caregivers through the process of claiming their Providence account and accessing Rise to complete required trainings. 

To begin, ensure that you have received an email from your Core Leader (manager) containing your Providence username and temporary password. If you haven't received an email with your temporary credentials, please reach out to your Core Leader.

1. Launch the "Claim Account (Providence)" app from the Okta homepage, or click the image of the app below.

2. On the page that opens, click the "VMWare Horizon HTML Access" option.

3. On the next screen, enter your username and password that you received from your Core Leader. Then, click Login. You will then be prompted to change your password. This password is separate from your PH TECH computer login, and is only used for Providence applications.

Here are the Providence password requirements:

• Minimum of 8 characters.

• You cannot reuse previous passwords.

• No proper names.

• Cannot contain any part of your name

• Cannot contain any words from your department name

• The password must contain 3 out of 4 of the following:

•    Lower case letters: (a-z)

•    Upper case letters: (A-Z)

•    Digits: (0-9)

•    Special characters: ~!@#$%^<>*&_-+=`|\(){}:;"',.?/

4. Once you've set a password, navigate back to your Okta homepage and launch the "My Apps (Providence)" app, or click the image below:

5. You will be prompted to sign in using a Providence email address and the password you just set. Your Providence email address will typically follow the same formula as your PH TECH email address,  using firstname.lastname@providence.org. 

6. Upon signing in successfully for the first time, you will be prompted to set up Multifactor Authentication for Providence.  On the "Keep your account secure" screen, click "I want to set up a different method" 

Select "Phone" as the method you would like to use and click "Confirm". You will then be prompted to enter your cell phone number. After entering your cell phone number,  keep all other options the same, and click "Next".

You will receive a 6 digit code in a text message on your cell phone. Enter the code and click "Next". If everything was successful, you will see the "Success!" message. Click "Done".  You will then be redirected to the "My Apps" portal.

From the "My Apps" portal, you should see the "Rise" application on the main page, but if you are unable to locate the Rise app, you can use the search bar at the top to find the application as well. The Rise platform will contain specific training modules that you are required to complete.
