Zero Client Setup
(Black and Silver Box)
*PLEASE NOTE*
If you are hired as a contractor and received new monitors shipped to you, DO NOT USE the HDMI cables that came with the new monitors.
PH TECH has provided two video cables that will be shipped with the zero client. There will be a DisplayPort cable and a DVI to HDMI cable. Each cable will plug into the zero client and then into each monitor.
HDMI Cable
DO NOT USE
DisplayPort Cable
One end of the cable will connect to the zero client. The other end will connect to a monitor.
DVI to HDMI Cable
The large DVI end will connect to the zero client. The smaller HDMI end will connect to the other monitor.
To start, arrange both monitors on the desk.Â
If you received new monitors shipped to you, they will need to be unboxed and assembled.
Each monitor will have it's own power cable that will need to be connected.
Next, plug all cables and equipment into the proper ports on the zero client.
When connecting your monitors, each monitor should have one video cable going to from the zero-client to the monitor, as mentioned above.
*IMPORTANT*
DO NOT CONNECT YOUR MONITORS TO EACH OTHER! THIS WILL CAUSE DISPLAY ISSUES!
Using the HDMI cable or the DisplayPort cable to connect the monitors directly to each other will cause various display issues.
Plug in all power cables to surge protector.
Connect all power cables into the surge protector.
Plug ethernet cable in from router to zero client.
Plug ethernet cable into a router or modem (usually provided by your Internet Service Provider).
PH TECH provided equipment does not support WiFi.
Turn on the zero client and login to your workspace.
