Google Desktop Notifications
Edit your Google Calendar notifications settings
First, change your notification settings in Google Calendar:
On your computer, open Google Calendar.
In the top right, click Settings Settings and then Settings.
On the left, click General and then Event settings.
Under “Event settings,” you can choose to:
Turn notifications on or off: Click Notifications, and select how you want to get them.
Get notified only for Yes or Maybe responses: Click Automatically add invitations and then Yes, but don’t send event notifications unless I have responded “Yes” or “Maybe.”.
To enable Desktop Notifications, change your global notification settings in Google Chrome:
Open Chrome.
At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
At the bottom of the page click Advanced Down Arrow.
Under "Privacy and security," click Content Settings.
Click Notifications.
Next to "Allow," click Add.
Enter calendar.google.com and then click Add.
Edit your Google Gmail notifications settings
Enable Desktop Notifications in Gmail:
On your computer, open Gmail.
In the top right, click Settings Settings and then Settings.
Scroll down to the "Desktop notifications" section.
Click the option:
Select New mail notifications on, Important mail notifications on, or Mail notifications off.
At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
