Phone Number Purchasing & Porting Procedure
Customer Specific Phone Number Purchase Procedure (Bandwidth)
All customer specific phone numbers must be initially purchased through Bandwidth
All port-in requests from customers must be ported into the Bandwidth platform
All ports must include a LOA: https://support.bandwidth.com/hc/en-us/articles/204138416-Sample-LOA
In general, all numbers added into the PureCloud -> Call Routing interface must first be purchased and setup with Bandwidth
This process is started by submitting a ticket to the IT team.
Number Port Time Frame and Activation Details (Bandwidth):
Toll-Free Number Ports:
Default activation time is ALWAYS 8:30AM PST on FOC date.
Service Desk calls 855-864-7776 to activate anytime before 8:30AM PST.
Cannot be activated after 8:30AM PST on FOC date.
(A Firm Order Commitment (FOC) Date is when the local exchange carrier will commit to having the T1 circuit you ordered provisioned and physically ready to go.)
Local Number Ports:
Default activation time is whatever you specify on FOC date.
Can activate early anytime during the day before the requested activation time.
PH TECH Business Group and Individual Number Purchase Procedure (PureCloud)
Phone numbers assigned to individual users in PureCloud can be purchased directly in PureCloud
Phone numbers assigned to internal business teams can be purchased directly in PureCloud
These numbers do not require failover capabilities
** Please give Service Desk 48 hours notice when requesting a new phone number.
** IVR/Call Routes can be built out prior to ordering a new phone number. You do not need to wait for a new phone number to start building call routes.
